Sneha Gokhale - Specialist Periodontist (BDS, MDS)

Mrs. Sneha Gokhale has been working as a dentist since 2015 and has worked in NHS and private practices in West Midlands. She specializes in Periodontology and Oral Implantology and has been working at a private practice in the West Midlands as a Specialist since 2018. Sneha now owns the practice alongside her partner Sanket.

She has experience with various periodontal surgical procedures such as flap surgeries, frenectomies, periodontal plastic surgeries, mucogingival surgeries and implants. She has also obtained a Diploma in Oral Laser Application by e-SOLA, Vienna, Austria. She has knowledge and expertise in the use of both hard and soft tissue lasers.

She has been on the editorial board of Dental Tribune, U.K. for two years and contributed articles for the same. She has a number of international publications in renowned journals such as Journal of Periodontology, British Dental Journal, Photomedicine and Laser Surgery, European Journal of General Dentistry and Journal of Oral Implantology to name a few.

She has also been a Reviewer for various international journals.

Sanket Gaikwad - Dentist (BDS, MSc)

Mr. Sanket Gaikwad is a registered Dentist with the General Dental Council, U.K. Sanket qualified with Bachelors of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) in 2007. He cleared the overseas registration exam (ORE) in 2011. He has been practicing general clinical Dentistry for 14 years now and has kept up to date knowledge in the fields of preventive, restorative and prosthetic dentistry. Sanket now owns the practice alongside his partner Sneha.

Sanket always had keen interest in root canal treatments (endodontics), he has always invested and practiced endodontics with the latest equipments and materials. He attended courses, lectures and seminars in the field since he started practice of dentistry so that he could provide the best root canal treatments for his patients. The next further step for him was to avail a higher education in the field of Endodontics. Sanket completed Masters in Endodontics from University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in 2018 and graduated with a clinical distinction.

Sanket has been accepting complex root canal referrals since 2017 and has special interest in treating challenging endodontic cases including management instrument fracture, curved canals, sclerosed canals, perforations, re-endodontic treatment with the aid of an operating microscope.

Sanket was recently invited to conduct a webinar on practicing dentistry in the post- pandemic world ‘Dental Guidelines on COVID-19’; in May 2020 which was hosted by Swiss Laser Masters Academy, Dubai.

Mike Allen - Associate Dentist

I qualified at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1981. I first went into practice in Halesowen, but I have been working in Burton on Trent for the last thirty years, twenty five years of these in my own practice.

As well as general dentistry, I have a special interest in implants and orthodontics and I work one session a week in the Queen's Hospital in Burton on Trent, carrying out orthodontic procedures. I am also a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and I regularly place dental implants for patients, which in some cases can take the place of a bridge or a partial denture. In the past, I did travel regularly to the United States to attend additional courses at the Pankey Institute, which is one of the most renowned dental teaching centres in the world. Now I can continue with my other areas of interest including tooth grinding and jaw joint disorders.

Outside of work, I have a growing family who keep me very busy. I am also a keen cyclist and used to be an enthusiastic sailor and squash player.

Lindsey Reece-Jones – Dental Hygienist

I have worked at SG Dental for nearly 3 years. I qualified at Guy’s Dental hospital in London in 1987. I then worked in several dental practices in London, including Harley Street. I also taught at Guy’s for a year.

In 1988, I travelled to Saudi Arabia, where I worked as the King’s hygienist. I also worked in the military hospital in Riyadh and taught Saudi hygiene students. In the summer months, I was seconded to Jeddah. In total I worked in Saudi Arabia for 12 years and I really enjoyed my time there.

I am married to an American who I met while working in Saudi and we have a teenage daughter.

I am registered to practice with the General Dental Council and my registration number is 3303.

Katie Bell – Dental Hygienist

I am a dental hygienist at SG Dental.
I am passionate about prevention and promoting the importance of maintaining good oral health, not only for function, aesthetics and preventing disease but to improve the confidence, general health and well-being of my patients. 

With over ten years of experience in dentistry I have extended my knowledge and skills through courses from Dental Nursing, Dental Radiography and Oral Health Education to the Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy which I graduated from Sheffield  achieving a distinction, along with an award for outstanding contribution to promoting oral health.

Outside of work I enjoy painting, keeping fit, socialising with friends and travelling.

Jayne Pargeter - Dental Nurse

I am a Dental Nurse at SG Dental. I qualified at Wilmorton College in Derby in 1993 where I was awarded the NEBDSA National Certificate for Dental Surgery Assistants. I have worked in dental practices around the Burton area for over thirty years and have worked with Mike now for nearly thirty years.

Since qualifying, I have undertaken a Dental Radiography (x-ray) course at Derby University in 2006 and also the Straumann Dental Nurses Foundation Course, as I assist Mike when he is placing dental implants. I have also undertaken the Dentrain Oral Health course.

After work, I enjoy the theatre, travel, eating out – general socialising in fact. I enjoy swimming, walking and tending a new project which is an allotment.

Anne Jollands - Dental Nurse

I have worked as a Dental Nurse for over twenty years at various practices in the Burton on Trent area. I joined SG Dental in 2007 and I work part time, assisting in the surgery and on reception.

In my spare time, I have many varied interests including watercolour painting and I am currently Secretary of the Burton Arts Club. I also enjoy photography and cycling.

I am registered with the General Dental Council and my registration number is 138467.

Helena Madden – Receptionist

After a lengthy career in the Human Resources field, I opted for a change in direction as a Receptionist for BUPA Dental Care. I was recently given the opportunity to join the team at Mike Allen Dental Practice as part-time Receptionist.

Previously I studied in areas of mental health, allowing me to volunteer as a support worker within a Bereavement organisation, which I did for a number of years.

I am married with two beautiful daughters. I enjoy going on walks with my husband and try to stay generally fit and healthy by attending my local gym.
